A surprise from my neighbor

Lynda was going out of town for a week so she cut all the gladiolus in her yard and brought them to me to enjoy. The lily has had three different blooms. It’s been so nice to have the bright colors in my kitchen!

The week before they left I had cut some of her gladiolus and put them in that canning quart jar and left them on her front porch. She had fussed that she needed to cut them but was getting ready for their upcoming trip. I told her she didn’t have to bring the “vase” back. 😊 The morning before they left she came running down the street with this bouquet for me, in that “lovely” vase. Good neighbors are so much fun!
