I was glad to get this photo, the Alamo is now surrounded by so many staff members taking tickets, taking your photograph (for a price of course) and the great Texas Rangers, Texas’ own law enforcement association. I remember the days of just walking up to the Alamo and walking in, with no restrictions. Those days are gone forever, and I cannot complain, because it is now an “all hands on deck” effort to preserve the Alamo’s buildings and grounds!
Well it would have been good to walk around with no restrictions, I understand your I need to preserve this historical building. And once again I love the perspective of this photo. Very well done

Wow- you can see the extent of the weathering here- it's quite severe. I'm glad there's a concerted effort to preserve and repair it even if it means being inconvenienced by tickets and tourist trappings. Good shot!
