When our presenter Jill entertained our book club Tuesday, she told us the story about her flute. Her mother gave her piano lessons for 7 years, putting her with the top piano teachers in the area. She didn’t like the piano and came home from school one day with a flute from the school band’s instrument loan department. When her mother finally bought her a flute she named it the million dollar flute, because she spent that much on piano lessons. She was teasing but the name stuck. Jill plays the flute so beautifully, she played a medley of Christmas carols at the end of the program that certainly got us in the holiday spirit.
How funny…her heart was with the flute! Our daughter plays the flute….or should I say played as I don’t think she’s played it for a long time. Your book club sounds like one I would enjoy! !
