A bargain basket brought back to life with garlic

I picked this basket up in the half price bin at the garden center. It was a straggly mess. I had read about steeping minced garlic in water for flower fertilizer and thought I would give it a try. It was surprising how quickly the flowers recovered!
Wow that's a good tip.. look very healthy now.

@julzmaioro I steeped it for a week in a covered jar. When I removed the lid the garlic odor was overpowering. Ha. I’m glad I was outside.

@briaan @eudora @radiogirl @ingrid01 @onewing @joansmor @carole_sandford @happysnaps @danette @kwind @larrysphotos @grammyn @Dawn @julzmaioro thank you all so much for your great comments. I looked on Google again and couldn’t find the article where I first read about the garlic “tea” fertilizer. It is full of minerals and also a pest deterrent for plants. I will say that you need to steep the minced garlic and water in a lidded jar for a week or so and you need to open it outside. The garlic odor is overpowering. Smile.
