A small, non-chain motel in Highland Illinois, about 30 miles east of St. Louis. I stayed in this place for a couple of nights when I forst moved to the mid-west, more than 25 years ago. This image is 10+ years old, and it hadn't changed a bit. And looking at google-street-view, it still hasn't changed...
Oh, my goodness. That's where we stayed when we first moved to Highland in 1994. It still looked the same when we moved away in 2012. You brought back a lot of memories with this one. In fact, 10 years ago, we still lived about 3 miles from there.
