Breeding time at Boulders by ludwigsdiana

Breeding time at Boulders

the Penguins do have nesting boxes all over the area, but mostly they like to breed in the sand. from just 2 breeding pairs in 1982, the colony has grown to about 2,200.The sea has been very rough and washed a lot of kelp ashore, which makes it look rather untidy.
What a gorgeous part of the world they call home! Beautiful colours, lovely capture!

The kelp seems almost the color of the penguins and makes it harder to pick them out.

Gorgeous view and glad to know about the penguins. We hear so much bad news about species being wiped up completely.

After seeing so much devastation to our wildlife here in Australia recently with the bushfires and drought it is so good to see some species surviving so well.
