@summerfield It is definitely not Sally's Owl as we live too far apart. It is the same kind though. They are very common here in the country. This is one of a breeding pair in my neighbours garden ;-)
Ooooh, clearly we're both fans of the large and beautiful owls! I hadn't realized you lived in SA...it's always fun to see what's happening across the world!
@Weezilou They really are such amazing birds and I am very fortunate to be able to see them regularly. There use to be a pair in a tree in our backyard, but they have moved to the neighbours. We got a cat two years ago and she kept climbing that tree. The Owls were not amused ;-)
@ludwigsdiana And THAT's why we named that black cat on my collage, "Nemesis"! I tag all my backyard-in-California photos "Peaceable Kingdom" and this particular cat was upsetting the aura! "Not amused", indeed! : D
