@robz @maggiemae @marlboromaam @swchappell @louannwarren @jacqbb Echium or Paterson's curse is an invasive weed and poisonous for grazing livestock. In spring almost all the fields here are covered in it. The animals seem to know that they should not eat it ;-)

It's an invasive weed here as well, lthough sometimes called Salvation Jane mostly in South Australia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echium_plantagineum_in_Australia

@ludwigsdiana Oh - that makes so much sense. We also have Patterson's Curse - it's so wonderfully colourful but such a pest. Sad that it ended up in both our countries...
