As we drove towards the Central Otago town of Queenstown, we heard the familiar "Whoop, Whoop" of the vintage steam engine! We pulled off the road and sure enough round the bend came this small train. It runs during the day - half an hour down the tracks then back again. It really is a picture to behold!
Great shot. I'm old enough to remember travelling on a steam trains across the Forth Bridge on the way from Edinburgh to Aberdeen for my summer holidays. Amazing machines.
