Out in the country near a friends property which goes down to the river, I walked down a grassy track and observed the stillness of this particular pond. Further down there was a slight waterfall and plenty of water going down it but you couldn't see the current here!
Three good things:
1. I'm sick of the America's Cup - things keep going wrong. Its good because I'm not to going to worry about it.
2. Toast and peanut butter for breakfast. My once a week treat!
3. I'm going to concentrate on more editing my transcript of my mother's travel diary. Only about 16 pages to go of the second script.
A beautiful spot as well. It looks so still here to get those gorgeous reflections! Sorry you are disappointed in your team. They may still pull it out.
@yonnie I can't eat chocolate with peanut butter but by itself it is a dream - some of the chocolate brands that is! Whittaker in NZ is better than Swiss!
what a lovely place and awesome reflection, the water is so still it's almost like a mirror. like you, i cannot eat chocolate with peanut butter although i have no problem eating m&m's with a whole peanut in them. peanut butter and chocolate are much better left separately. there's a new sensation around here, chocolate with bacon and chocolate with hot pepper. i mean has the whole world gone mad?
@maggiemae - oh, yes, i forgot about that, and just as well. i had dinner with a friend a few weeks ago, and one of the featured desserts in the restaurant was vanilla ice cream with actual bacon bits. my friend ordered it. blech!
Isn't it amazing how the water can flow that way? I was just at a little creek where the water was slowly rippling its way over a rock bed and then all of a sudden there was a quiet still pool of water. Lovely shot!
I was just going to write Good Luck for the NZ team ....that last one is always the hardest....nail biting stuff, will be watching later today!!
Love the jumble of foliage & reflections & then the path running through....Spring has sprung!!
Thanks Pat- I'm going to go,easy with thinking about that - I get too wound up and then can't sleep! This pic is of a real wild jungle as you say - no pathways.
lovely tranquillity and colours Maggie. I just realise that most of the bodies of water I have been near to have been moving ones, but this is so calm...
No use worrying about things you have no control over!!! I LOVE toast and peanut butter (but I add a little Nutella to give me my chocolate fi ; )
