Halloween nonsense! With apologies to the Oamaru Old Cemetery.
Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
Contagion to this world.
~William Shakespeare
Three good things:
1 The goods arrived from my half sister's estate - bowls from china, plates from Italy, glass from Denmark, books from England.
2. A beautiful early 1900's writing case with fascinating letters in it. My father's first wife wrote to her children and to him and a touching love letter.
3. A thunderstorm that hovered over this cemetery as I took the photo (the lightening in the picture isn't real)!
Wonderful processing! Very creative! Your half sisters estate sounds interesting. How lovely to have the letters! I have letters my mum wrote to my dad when he was in hospital for 6 months when I was about 2 years old. Very moving and quite funny. Lovely treasure!
Love what you have done to the place.....We have several haunted places here in N.E. Ohio Fairport Harbor Light house and Willoughby Coal!! Again Great work!!
Such a great shot, Maggiemae. I love your processing. Sounds like you received such wonderful treasures from your half sister's estate. How wonderful to have the letters. We got some rain today, not what was predicted to the kids are enjoying Halloween tonight. FAV for your photo and creativity.
Best Halloween shot I have seen! How lovely to have those old letters. I found some old letters sent to my mother, arnt they priceless. I don't think today's computer generation will have those treasurers.
