Taken after sunset while driving home from a Ukelele practice. I obviously haven't taken night shots for a while 'cause I didn't find the right settings for a while so had a lot of black photos as a result.
Three good things:
1. John came back safely after getting three odd skin things removed. You don't want to know where!
2. Booked a room in Wellington for later this month. More Indian motorcycle madness!
3. Baked potatoes with butter melting inside!
Funny TGT but a great night photo maggiemae! Love this one so its a fave for me. I will have to practice night shots before I go to the USA. Must get the right settings!
Lovely shot Maggiemae. I haven't forgotten your landscape challenge. Very busy over the last few days. When things settle tomorrow I will take time to seek out some landscapes instead of just ducking into the garden for a quick shot.
Pretty shot. I love how blue the water is and the entire scene actually. Poor John. My hubby has had a few skin things removed too. You do not want to know where. I always love your three things.
@maggiemae Poor John. I had one on my hairline near my temple that was skin cancer. So glad it was not the worse type but the least invasive and never had more. I hope John is doing well.
Beautiful night shot.....you finally did get the settings right! ;-)) I love night photography, yes, it is tricky, and I find that the best time is at twilight when there is still some light out and the buildings are starting to get all lit up. That being said, I would have moved a bit to the left and maybe even cropped it tighter to get that darn lamppost out of the picture....and, the street below the trees.
@panthora@maggiemae - i do like that bit of foliage up on the right side. the lampost could be cloned out to keep the balance and perspective. the hydropole could also be cloned out and the bottom cropped to get rid of the street.
osia, one day, i'll be knocking at your and louise's doors. :-)
