Fields of Blue by maggiemae

Fields of Blue

Taken on the way back from our fateful Dunedin trip and I would like to thank all those friends who sent their kind wishes! I appreciate every thought!

There are flowers in this field but I don't know their name - probably grown for bird seed as a lot of flowers are round here.

Three good things:
1. A petition has been started for more work to be done regarding tourists driving. Another bad accident happened the same day cause again by a tourist (Asian) driving on the wrong side of the road.
2. A reminder not to let John put the sugar into my coffee - last one was like sugar water!
3. A Canadian ex journalist is staying and is almost totally deaf but he has a microphone in his hand that you can talk in to!
Such a cool funky edit. How is your family doing? Love to you!

I love this maggiemae.....just absolutely love it! Big big fave! The lovely washed out grasses & that vivid blue at the back & the fence in the foreground the perfect frame.
There was an accident at the end of our road today. You know how the turning is just over the hill, well there was a tractor & trailer stopped waiting to turn into the lane & a motor cyclist went into the back of him. I haven't heard how the lad is but Harry said he looked bad.

This has a fantastic feel to it Maggiemae -- a first I couldn't see anything in the lower half until I slanted my screen a little more I just love the delicate hue and haze of blue in the distant and nearer the pink - against the azure blue sky . A wonderful FAV !! I hope the family are bearing up to all they have been through -- love and best wishes xx

Another FAV for me. Very well captured and love your processing.

@happypat Oh, this does happen! There it is the motorbiker's fault - its a country road with lots of turns and he should be expecting to find a tractor somewhere! Big ta for the fav!

Lovely shot and cool processing. I will be keeping your family in my thoughts. I will light a candle a for them. I hope that they fix whatever the issue is with the traffic there.

Instant huge fav. Magnificent processing and such a lovely artistic creation. I would love this hanging on my wall. I like how the light foreground slowly blends into the colorful scene.

Stunning Maggie a big Fav

Sounds like it needs a lot more signs - easy to get disoriented on quiet roads. They have a lot of reminders on the roads near the crossings to Europe.

@judithg They are currently working on whats best to do here in NZ. The Chinese drivers are the worst! We have one main road and it is only a 2 lane highway!

Lovely capture and edit

A beautiful contemporary artistic look Maggie Mae!

I love this photo and your editing of it Maggiemae. So sad that another accident happened the same day. I hope they figure this out fast before more tragedy happens. Thoughts remain with you and your entire family.

Very beautiful capture and processing, fav. Losing a child is bad enough, but when it's caused by someone's stupidity and ignorance, there must be a sense of cosmic anger and frustration.
February 25th, 2015
Very cool effect! Fav!
February 26th, 2015
Interesting effect- seems to flip the land and sky for me- either that or it's late and I should go to bed.
February 27th, 2015
great composition and processing ... I really like the fence and how it looks here
February 27th, 2015
very nice processing on this. quite surreal. i think that tourists who do not drive the way you do in NZ should not be allowed to drive in there, that's all. and if they cause an accident, they should just be shot right then and there. it makes me mad when i hear people's stupidity!

@summerfield Your thoughts echo my husbands - he would shoot them in the knees, though!
