Taken down at our Harbour Restaurant called "Portside" on the outside balcony. It looks towards Oamaru's breakwater which was built in 1883 to enclose the harbour and make it safe for the sailing ships that came in. No longer those old ships, just fishing boats that can only come in and out of the harbour on the full tide.
You can walk along this breakwater when there is no waves breaking over the top from rough seas.
Three good things;
1. My 'Twilight' photo made it to PP which is very pleasing to me and a kind of tribute.
2. Hugely busy day - not that that is good but keeps the mind active.
3. Great to research a health problem on the net but good to have a specialists opinion. New challenges to face.
Lovely capture - the gull has those three in his sights!! I hope that's not a health problem you have Maggiemae? You have enough going on at the moment!! Take care!!
I love a harbour where the boats go backwards & forth......always seems so friendly & local tooing & froing.....hope you can understand that! Don't like the sound of new health challenges to face! Hope all ok!
Wonderful capture, Maggiemae. You did a great job on this one. I hope you are ok and glad you are seeing a specialist. I research online too and referred myself to a specialist as I knew something was wrong and I was right. Take care of you. Thoughts are with you.
@darsphotos Thank you for your sweet words, Darlene! Its not me that has the health problem but hubby. A heart condition is always worrying but he refuses to.
@maggiemae You are very welcome, Maggiemae. I am sorry that your hubby is going through this. Men are harder to get help for or at least have them admit they need to see a Dr. Take care. You can private message me on Facebook if you like. Thoughts are with you and John.
Lovely composition and dof in this. You certainly have a lot to deal with just now. I hope John is sensible and takes care of himself, not just for his sake but for yours too.
Nice shot, Maggie. Love that the seagull is in focus and the people walking aren't. It's perfect. I hope that you can get the health problem sorted and get the hubby to see the doc. It's hard with men. My guy in London is stubborn about getting his heart medication that he's supposed to take. Why do men have to be so difficult when it comes to taking care of themselves?
@prttblues Thankyou Bev - unfortunately he doesn't listen to music. He has to take them at a certain time every day and that time is 8am so I am there. I won't nudge him but will be aware.
