On the main street into our town, there has been a long blank wall on one side of the supermarket. The target of taggers and an art opportunity waiting to happen. These are the first two of the artworks that have been installed. The work of local and talented artists. I think nowadays they can put up a anti -tagging coating. There is going to me more panels installed during the following weeks and it will be like a public and free art gallery.
Three good things’
1. Haven’t got the new car yet - being groomed for next week’s pickup. I am nervous of driving it - it might get carried away and take me somewhere over the rainbow!
2. I was so excited the night before last about going down to see it, didn’t sleep. So excited last night about the ownership, didn’t sleep. Deep breaths and relax tonight.
3. Doing knee bends everywhere - even brushing my teeth - got to keep the knee muscles strong!
anti -tagging coating? is there such a thing, I hope that there is anti -tagging spray they fire out automatically when tagger is trying to messing around.
I just saw the right hand photo on one of my Facebook friends page. He is the artist and his photography is also great. Cool idea. What's with the knee bends? Hope you are ok to drive that cool new car.
@maggiemae yes I am talking about Derek. His landscapes and sky shots are amazing. Makes me want to go to Oamaru for the night sky alone. I get the need for knee bends now lol. I'm still practicing my knee bends with my new knee.
I like that idea. Some places here in the States will do that on the sides of buildings, walls and the like. Now is tagging what we call graffiti? There are cities here now that actually promote the graffiti artists by allowing them to do their thing in designated places. I guess it's the "if you can't beat them, join them" plan!
Lovely!! I hope they put some serious graffiti coating on them so that the tagging can just be wiped off! What a shame that happens all the time, and it defaces some nice artwork, as well as people's walls.
