I’m so lucky that there are numerous beautiful flowers still blooming in the garden. This is one of the roses and shot from the window attempting to get blur and darkness behind it in spite of it being morning. The Manual selection on the camera has more adaptability in my camera to change light and focus.
Three good things;
1 The earthquake felt yesterday did no damage in spite of being a big one.
Another earthquake near Papua New Guinea was bigger and logged but also said a tsunami was expected. This was where a guy with great humour and camera skill posted until a while ago.. Jason….@bobfoto wonder where he is now!
2. My photo with the church produced so many sympathetic comments with growing up and going to church. I didn’t think anyone felt as the way I did!
3. Communication from two sons - one in Japan camping on a beach for ‘Golden Week” and the other travelling through the USA! Never would have happened twenty years ago!
Can hardly keep up with our children can we? A beautuful perfect rose.....not a blemish on it......I do like that dark background too. We all have different memories of our childhood funny how church was common to lots of them!
What a perfect rose! Great image against the darker background. Yes whenever I hear something about PNG I think of Jason (bobfoto) and wonder what he is doing now. His photos were a glimpse into another world! At least your jetsetting sons keep in touch!
Lovely photo, you are lucky to have such beauty at your window. You captured it beautifully. Glad there wasn't damage or anyone hurt from the earthquake.
as others have said before me, the lighting is fantastic, very beautiful. and yes, whenever i think or hear of PNG, jason comes to mind. greatly missed. he taught me much.
@maggiemae@tigerdreamer@catsmeowb@pamknowler@summerfield - 'Tis a very pretty rose, I do miss cultivating a patch of Rosa, they are almost like the gardener's mechanic flower... you can be quite aggressive with them, yet also delicate as you remove spent blooms. They are such a rewarding plant.
*sigh*
For those whom care and I am humbled that you do, but I am back in North Queensland once again, just trying to get back into life no longer in PNG. However, I did spend a few weeks back there once again. Never say never they say.
@maggiemae - maggiemae, you kill me every time with your humour. however,if any of that ever happened or happens to jason, we all know he'd be posting a photo, no matter what! @bobfoto
@bobfoto so good to hear from you, Jason. have missed you and your photos greatly. each and every time i take a selfie, i think of you and your most excellent advice. of course, there was so much more over all the time you were here at 365.
Very pretty! Just what your area needs- another earthquake! Or is this an aftershock from the last one that hit Vanautu (I know I spelled that wrong!)?
@bobfoto Good to see you here! I was thinking about you recently when we heard about the earthquakes in that area. Glad to know everything is a-o-k!
Yeh, what happened to Bob?
*sigh*

Thank you for the blessings. :)
