Dare to try

I had a picture off an old calendar to give me incentive. It had this beautifully slim lady with a broad brimmed sun hat and a skirt that ruffled in the wind while she picked flowers from her abundant flower garden!
Mine was a bit different! But does look good on the black!

Three good things:
1. I did have the ‘befunky’ app that turned the photo into a water colour which was necessary.
2. I didn’t have a hat so had to use Picmonkey’s overlayer to place the hat on my head.
3. Made Jamie Oliver’s scrambled eggs - with NO milk! Result - well, OK!
I have never tried that app... it gives sort of a historical feel to your photo. Nice job, placing the hat! I love Jamie Oliver recipes.

Hah! we are both into the purple and green. (My mum said they were gypsy colours). Seriously tho' this is a beautiful composition and I love the processing and the juicy colours.

@beryl Thanks Beryl - didn't know I was getting identifiable! I'll have to remedy that!
May 26th, 2015
@snaphappi Purple and green are better than purple and red which some stroppy ladies like to wear!

The most popular photo I posted once was a arty photo something like this.....great effects & I love this effect here ....very dreamy & I am sure that is you in your garden!
May 26th, 2015
@happypat You are right, Pat. I couldn't be bothered changing from my warm trousers to a skirt and sandals as in the original picture.
May 26th, 2015
@maggiemae it was the turn of the head that gave you away....remember I have met you!!
May 26th, 2015
@happypat Oh, really? - the turn of the head? Not the meeting - never forget that but always have felt never had the opportunity to get to know you better. That time - my stepdaughter loves to talk - never stops actually!

Great shot, Maggie and very cool processing. The hat does not look like you had to add it into the photo! Very artistic and creative.

@prttblues Thank you Bev for saying that but I feel the hat is not naturally placed on my head! I didn't have a choice though!

May 27th, 2015
your creative art comes to the fore again maggie

Very impressive results! I had no idea you really were not wearing that hat!
May 28th, 2015
Cool processing!
May 28th, 2015
and there i thought the hat was real. that reminds me, i left behind my hat in illinois at my brother's! but i have four more to use and lose elsewhere. the processing is nice. i think the great art masters must be laughing at us for having digital cameras and such to capture scenes that they laboured to paint, and then now we are trying to process the photo to make it look like a painting.
May 29th, 2015
@summerfield The only thing that different with real art is that the painter can do what he likes with the scene - imaginary or real!!
May 29th, 2015
Beautifully composed and processed, fav.

I thought I had commented on this, but I guess not!! Just to verify that I had not, I ended up reading all the above comments, and I would like to add that one of MY favorite color combinations is Red and Purple, so I guess that makes me a "stroppy lady", and it is probably a good thing I don't know what that means!! BTW, I just downloaded the Befunky app to my ipad! Thanks! This is a lovely effect!
