Where's the cheese? by maggiemae

Where's the cheese?

Without inspiration, I put two things together and tried various settings on my camera. This is a cheese implement selection made in stainless. The plant behind is maidenhair.

Three good things:
1. Decided to get new glasses - my present ones are almost cloudy to look through.
2. Cold mornings mean longer times in bed.
3. Double glazing keeps the noise of the next door neighbour and his chainsaw out!
Awesome shot

Interesting combination! I've also ordered new glasses. It's only been 18 months, but I can no longer see my computer screen or my phone. Teenager needed them too. What was really cool was that I have a client whom I haven't billed in a while, and once I did, I was able to pay for the exams and both sets of lenses out of that check!

@shesnapped My glasses are 4 years old and from what the optician says, glasses don't last! Didn't know that! My new glasses cost so much, I just about had to mortgage my home! Lol!

Very creative shot

an impressive use of colour and shapes maggie

@phil_howcroft I liked the shapes of the handles, Phil! Yet to use them as we have lots of cheese knives!

Nice effect with the reflections and lighting. Very creative.

@maggiemae HA!!! I know that feeling!!!! Ridiculous prices! The teenager and I both got new frames last year which are still in great shape, so this year we're only replacing lenses. Frames would have $500 - $600 to the bill if we had bought them!

@shesnapped My lens cost $900! Tinted, something else and something else with diamond in the description! I'll have to investigate but I wanted the sun tint as I go biking a lot.

What a stylish shot! Great lighting.

@maggiemae Well, see, that's what happens when you put DIAMONDS in them silly! :-)
June 15th, 2015
Well that has worked out nicely, great styling

I like this -- unique overall and fascinating shimmering light/processing.

@shesnapped ho hum, Ashley! It says, "Hoya Diamond finish Multicoat"! Maybe they scratch them with a diamond?

Works beautifully Maggiemae!! Creative and lovely as well.

Clever use of items! Nice shot.

What will you do without cloudy glasses? Will this change your photographic perspective? :) Thanks so much for your sweet comments. Always love them.
June 16th, 2015
@ishutter It certainly will change my photography - I will be able to see spots instead of clouds, Kim!
June 16th, 2015
Good shot- the cheese slicers look like garden tools! Will you be getting rose-colored glasses? Or do you prefer a more realistic take on life? (o:

the first day with new glasses is usually like seeing a new world.
June 16th, 2015
@olivetreeann They only give rose tinted ones to Angels, Ann! I don't qualify!

@chard Bring it on, world!

Beautiful creation Maggiemae!

Nice, magic photo :)

1. I have similar cheese knives and never thought to use them like this
2. I have to wait until I pay the credit card for the 'other half's' spectacles before I get new ones for me
3. Your title reminded me of the book "Who moved my cheese?"
I reckon you do deserve rose tinted ones as you give such kind comments. Thank you. This is an inspired and well composed shot btw

@kiwinanna Your comments make my world brighter and happier, Liana! Thank you. I've heard of that book - it would make a better title than the one I've got!

This is so effective Maggie and whatever you think it is inspired. I only ever end up taking things that leap out and shout 'take my picture' I'm sadly lacking in inspiration on a permanent basis!!
June 16th, 2015
@thistle I find i'm without inspiration at times too but have also found that it (inspiration) just happens and you get enthusiastic!
June 16th, 2015
Interesting photo.
June 16th, 2015
Doesn't show a lack of inspiration to me. It is a very pretty picture.
June 16th, 2015
