Bird of the Sea by maggiemae

Bird of the Sea

It was cold this morning and on the foreshore the slight wind froze my nose as I walked down here. The waves were thundering on to the shore around me - a lovely sound!

Three good things:
1. Now on the final run home with the Manuscript taking out all the photos and doing an ‘insert’ in that place. All the photos have to be sent in a separate file.
2. A local Constable recognised our car and gave me a wave as I went past in the town!
3. Baked potatoes with mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top!
Nice detail. Love his yellow beak

You make my mouth water. It's nice to live by the lake, like we do, but besides white caps and a bit of rough water when it's stormy we have no crashing waves....crashing ice maybe in the winter, yes. would love to live close to an ocean.

@bruni I suspect crashing waves constantly all night and all day might drive you up the wall, Bruni! We hear them from a distance.

@maggiemae Secret, I sleep with earplugs. you're right though. last vacation our bedroom was towards ocean and I used the spare bedroom on the other side of our condo.

You are doing a great job with the manuscript maggiemae.......you must be pleased it's gone so well. Much more complicated than I could have attempted! Nice to be known by the police for all the right reasons!

Ps. Is that swirling frothy water down below?

@happypat Its heavy concentration work, Pat but I have to get it right! Thank you for your comment! I can't get away with anything now - can't speed, do wheelies, or be a getaway car!

@happypat and yes - white foamy waves that were crashing on to these rocks!

Looks quite cold. What is the focus of the Manuscript?
July 9th, 2015
@taffy If you mean focus as subject, Taffy - its where I transcribed the diaries of my mother on her 1929 journey around Britain in a Morris Oxford convertible!

I like the water as the background Nice shot.

I love the comp and processing here, and I think it has a wintry feeling. Fav for me.
July 11th, 2015
Good capture of the foamy sea - these birds always look as if they were interupted halfway through putting on their lippy.
July 11th, 2015
Grateful daily of both the bird and the sea

Sounds like there is some great progress being made on the book! A busy run has kept me from working on the one I want to upload. No rest in sight as Leigh will be here for a visit very soon! This looks very painterly! Nice shot!
