July planting

A diary photo as I always forget the name of a rose. I bought 4 roses to replace some ancient roses that had produced only 1 or 1 and 1/2 blooms! I bought these new roses for the colour, not the names but notice that most of them seem to have memory as part of the name.

Sorry, but my memory doesn’t work that way!

Three good things:
1. John dug huge holes for these and did the best job for these expensive plants.
2. Our national pie competition found a winner - a simple potato- topped mince pie. All was so natural (no potato flakes used) and just like “Grandma made!”
3. I’ve got within 12 pages of finishing the 3rd edit (commas, grammar and dates) of the Journal - to be published soon!
Great way to remember the names. Look forward to seeing pictures of them when they flower.

@happypat I vaguely remember that, Pat! The Journal is 250 pages but still I think I've missed a few 'it' - should be 'at's! Got to go through it again!

Fun way to remember the flower names! And glad to see progress made on the book- I've yet to find time to see to mine. And I think I finally figured out how to get all the chapters into one manuscript.
