Pleased that you all allowed me some freedom into illusion and fiction!
This time is real adventure - the Alps2Ocean bike trail has been having some great publicity! I chose to ride one of the sections that has just been opened to a completely off road experience. I set off waving good bye to Hubby in Sadie (our Merc) He was there in certain parts of the section where it met the main road and it was so good to see! I bumped and shot off the humpy bits, traversed a small stream where my feet got wet, and took photos everywhere!
This placid water scene was a good opportunity for a photo!
Three good things:
1. He wasn’t at the Winery so I couldn’t stop there unfortunately but another good photo before the trail turned off to go through the vineyard!
2. I’ll sleep well tonight - 30kme on Ruby even though I had her on speed 3 and doing 23km/hr at times! It took 2 and 1/2 hours. Nothing for Leana, of course!
3 Since I traversed this particular piece of the trail there has been major news that a fire has started - I’m sure I didn’t throw a cigarette that I never smoked into the farmer’s field!
John knows you too well to be at the Winery....keep,you moving along out of temptations way! It all sounds so lovely & it was good if John to keep an eye on you! Such a tranquil scene here, your bike is so good for getting you out & about! Good buy! 30km is a long way. I walked 4 miles & I'm not in good nick at the moment so am going to switch off iPad soon & have a quiet night dozing,
This is the trail I am going to do, hopefully this year. I just don't like the part that have to share road with cars. Consider so many driving on the wrong side of the road, include my country men.
What a beautiful place and love all the color on the water and how it meanders along!! Beautiful lighting and what a nice place to be able ride and not have the hassle of traffic. Nice that your husband keeps an eye on you, sounds like mine. I tell him he stalks me!!! LOL FAV!
@yaorenliu They are working so fast on off road trails now, Yao and realise its important to get off road. Some of the road trails are away off and on the other side of lakes and dams but very little traffic. At one point you go across a dam to get to the other side. I think the series of lakes down this trail encourage more and more intrepid cyclists - like me - intrepid!!!
@cashew You are so lucky to have a man like this! My one amuses himself on the iPhone getting email, playing games, reading manuals while waiting for me to appear over the thistles!
I love the cool greenness of this scene and it's a fav for me. It sounds as if you have been having a lovely adventure. Glad you are safe and that you weren't in the area when the fire broke out.
@tristansmum Thanks for your lovely words, Stephanie! Actually I was in the area when the fire was reported but didn't see a thing - I think the trees were too high on that side of the trail and there wasn't much smoke till later!
love your composition and the lighting is perfect.
