Arrival at Tokyo was marked by a wonderful display of the Japanese Drums! They went on with great energy and skill for about 20 minutes! We thought we had spotted our tall blonde son but the lady and child by his side was not the right ones. Either we had it wrong or he had another wife and child!
Three good things:
1. Our son, his wife, Masami and their two children arrived shortly thereafter!
2. They took us to a noodle bar in Tokyo for Japanese late lunch. Noodles are very filling …and the end of the noodles flicked soup on to my shirt!
3. An introduction to a formal afternoon tea on board for our two grandchildren. The cakes were all gone when we finished but the sandwiches were untouched!
What a great display ! ,please don't laugh ,but at first I thought it was a display with little toy men !! Stunning when I realised they were for real !! Glad you found the right tall blond man and wife !! and had an enjoyable time !
You have t learnt to eat noodles properly then Maggie! You needed a bib! Lovely to meet your son & his family in Tokyo, you are incorporating lots of family visits! I too thought at first they were models!
Like many of the others I thought these were toys at first. It's a wonderful image. Also like the others I am glad you found the right son with the right wife.
I had to read the others comments to figure out if these guys were real. What a great capture! I always enjoy the Japanese and Korean drummers when they are around.
