There has been a lot of B&W on 365 and I wanted to be part of that. This is on a bike ride and this grand old hedge has been well clipped including the entry to this classic and old villa.
Could be good on the black...
Three good things;
1. A 1 hour bike ride on Ruby was so enjoyable. The weather was predicted to change for the worse but here it was mild and very little wind.
2. John cut down more foliage for the caravan parking. I mentioned the problems that might occur with little exercise, that I read on the net!
3. He transplanted 3 Yucca and watered but as there is an expected deluge to come tomorrow, it might not have been necessary!
I love this shot. the gate lends such an air of mystery and the door behind it even more. If this could speak it could be the beginning of a gothic novel!
I had to google "Noddy and Big Ears"! Although we have had some Enid Blyton books in our library, these stories never made it across the pond. The characters are definitely too cute for this setting!
I love what you wrote above. Great shot, Maggiemae. Sounds like a bit of work for John but worth it. We all need to exercise. Glad you are getting out.
I seem to remember seeing this particular hedge in color a while back too. In B&W it looks more like concrete or stone but seeing it on black makes all the details pop more.
don't let John overdo or you won;t be able to enjoy the caravan!
Love your caption. And the distinctive hedged-in gate. I'd have probably cropped off a tad more on the right, but that's just me being my off-centered self. I really like the not-quite-black-and-white.
Ooh the caravan idea has moved on then Maggie! Sounds very exciting! Perhaps you can take the cat? Love this gate & hedge, how I would love an intriguing hole in a hedge to put in a cute gate!
Did this hedge appear in one of your albums before?
don't let John overdo or you won;t be able to enjoy the caravan!
