This is the tender carrying one of several loads of people to a small island in the middle of this fjord where the helicopter lands and takes them back to civilisation. Alongside snow clad mountain tops, deep green and bushy valleys - made me go cross-eyed at times!
Thanks to all for comments about my tooth- its really painful as the bits of tooth left are so sharp and the bottom of my tongue now has a big ulcer on it. Dentist only one more day.
Three good things:
1. Posting this today -31st and have a huge challenge ahead - the book launch of my book tonight where I have to talk! I'm so nervous at public speaking!
2. The button popped off my trousers - seem to have put on weight! Wonder why!
3. Back to porridge and Television for kicks!
Beautiful reflections. Nervous about public speaking? Imagine your listeners are all 365-ers, who know everything about your fantastic book. Wish you lots of success.
A beautiful scene , the glassy waters and reflections are superb -- this has been a great adventure Maggiemae , good luck with your talk tonight --it is only natural to be nervous beforehand -- once you get started -you will find all will be well !! fav
Your three good things are all bad things, scary public speaking, you will lose weight just worrying! Amazing reflections on the water! Good luck tonight Maggie, you'l be ok when you get going!
@happypat I'm still trying to find a good thing to come out of those three 'good' things, Pat. Maybe they are three notable things! I think what @gijsje says - the audience is all from 365 would help!
LOL! Love your three good things. Just remember what a hit you were on the boat when you gave a class about your book and remember to breathe deeply and speak slowly. You will be a hit again I am sure. This is a wonderful photo with some gorgeous reflections on that glassy water.
I have missed you and your stories and adventures. I hope your talk went well especially with your tooth in such bad shape and that you got to the dentist as well and are doing ok. I have to catch up and will in time. You are not the only one putting weight on. Let me know how to lose this? You make me laugh. Love your photo. FAV
It's a fascinating trip you've been on Maggie. Public speaking is all about posture - stand in a confident posture and you'll feel confident. Plus everybody there wants to hear what you have to say which in my experience is a rare enough event that it should always be grasped with both hands!! And third - you have launched your book - fantastic!
