Snowy bush by maggiemae

Snowy bush

A ghost of white colours
hints at the beginning of a Spring
sending out vibes of fresh dreams in beauty
and a compare of the ultimate Gin Sling!

Tantalising our senses and softly playing the sonatas of summer

I’m rubbish at poems and thats such a bummer!

A lovely full white blossom tree growing wild alongside the railway into Oamaru. Used a “sketcher’ app to artify it!

Three Good Things:
1. A beautiful sunny day ahead of a winter blast!
2. Planted sweet pea seeds by a fence that J put climber wires against.
3. A great bike ride - no wind, sun and not much traffic!
oh, your poem's excellent. i'm rubbish at poems, too, but i love the classics. and sometimes an inspiration stops by long enough for me to whip up a short one, too. or a haiku.

beautiful tree with those pure white blossoms. artified nicely!

@summerfield I think I have to be drunk to finish a poem! I love poems too - just read 'If' by Rudyard Kipling!

@maggiemae - when i was a teenager, i could whip up poems, then especially when i had a boyfriend. somehow, i stopped writing them, i;m not very lyrical or rhythmic but maybe i should have a shot or two when i need to give it a go! hahahaha!

Beautiful edit.

@summerfield Nowdays, you don't need to rhyme with poems - they just have to scan well. Give it a go with one of your nice photos!

Wonderful Blues & that soft fluffy white, I can almost see the brush strokes!
I think the general consensus is you have to be grieving for love to make good poetry!
September 6th, 2016
@happypat All the love poems that we have read in the past, Pat! Elizabeth Barrett Browning etc. I think you have to be in the mood for writing a poem!
September 6th, 2016
Well thats certainly a different treatment, but it makes it stand out against the lovely interesting sky.

@maggiemae - long ago, because i didn't have a hobby, i enrolled in a poetry writing class. then the professor mentioned about a gazillion types of poetry and that we were to write at least two for each type. i dropped out the next day and had my money refunded. i can write a story when giving a prompt but poem? as @happypat pat mentioned, you have to be grieving for love to write one.

Wonderful effect and shot.
September 6th, 2016
@happypat - well if thats the case I hope you two are not going to start writing poetry! @summerfield

I wish I could write as good as you. only once in my live did I sit down and tried to right a poem and must admit I had some help from Hans. it was a poem to by granddaughter. love what you did with the picture.

What a beautiful tree, you capture well. It seems so strange to hear fellow 365'ers say Spring when we are beginning to see signs of Autumn.
September 6th, 2016
Beautifully processed! I especially like the beautiful white tree against the textured blue.
September 6th, 2016
@dsp2 Yes the processing does texture the blue sky which really was a nice clear blue sky!
September 6th, 2016
@dridsdale I like to think that we are on the 'right' side of summer, Debra.

Wonderful effect. I like the beginning of your poem, not sure about the rest..., which does not mean that you're not a talented poet ;-)
September 6th, 2016
Light, bright, white, sight - delight.
September 6th, 2016
I really like your artsy side. And your poem is pretty good also. Fav
September 6th, 2016
I would like to see more vignette, I loved that photo.
September 6th, 2016
How beautiful. It looks like a painting. FAV
September 6th, 2016
Lovely image with a painterly look and a great poem...a twofer :)
September 6th, 2016
You are getting so fancy with your shots.
September 6th, 2016
@sailingmusic Do you think too fancy, Myrna?
September 6th, 2016
looks rather surreal maggie, nice one
September 6th, 2016
Beautiful picture edited magnificently and your poem is superb. Don't sell yourself short!
September 7th, 2016
Lovely capture of the blossoms and poetic description.
September 7th, 2016
@grammyn I did hesitate putting it on here, Katy - but hey, we are all friends here!
September 7th, 2016
I love the effect of the shot. Wonderful colors and texture - great processing!

How lovely
September 7th, 2016
Stunning -- what a great processing job. A poet as well as a photog!
September 7th, 2016
@aikimomm Really just playing around with words, Phoebe!
September 7th, 2016
Beautifully processed, the words and the pic go well together. It does feel very springly
September 7th, 2016
@susale I like that word Suse! I think I can be very springly myself!
September 7th, 2016
Love the way the 'snow' catches the light Maggiemae. Fav
September 7th, 2016
So creative! Viewed small, I thought it was an underwater photo! Viewed larger, I see that it's a fun processing.
September 7th, 2016
Very much resembles a painting. Vivid colors!
September 7th, 2016
@congaree Sometimes with photographic apps, one wonders why there are painters still around. But - they - the artists can create what they want!
September 7th, 2016
Oh I love this snowy bush surrounded by those strong colours. Great processing.
September 7th, 2016
love the processing :-)
September 7th, 2016
I like the effects that you are putting into the flowery pics. So strange to think about spring... It's been so hot here that I am so looking forward to the cooling of fall.
September 7th, 2016
Lovely capture!
September 7th, 2016
