Not in Amsterdam.. by maggiemae

Not in Amsterdam..

Its easy in the Spring to use flowers for a photo but I do have to do a diary shot for these tulips. These and others round the garden, we inherited when we bought the property 6 years ago so its good to see them survive!

Good on the Black... oh,that feature is no longer - I thought but found out it wasn't on my Macbook Air but it was on my iMac - bigger computer!

Three good things:
1. Our house presently has scents from, daffodils in the kitchen, wallflowers on the dining room table and hyacinths on the coffee table.
2. Knowing that others have sleepless nights like mine, is a great relief.
3. John fixed the door catch on a caravan cupboard so that the smoked paprika won’t leap out, leave red stuff on the counter and lie on the floor looking smug!
Super shot especially on the black background xx

Beautiful.

Yes the black feature is still alive & they look great on that. It's exciting when you buy a new place waiting to see what pops up in the Spring! Love that your paprika has its own decadent lifestyle! I know sleepless nights are completely normal!

Hate when paprika pulls those shenanigans!!!

So lovely to share in your Spring with these lovely tulips!

@happypat The black feature doesn't seem to work with me, Pat! You normally click on it and it puts a black frame around!

@shesnapped I guess its the hot nature of the spice, Ashley!

Yes, more vibrant on black -- impressive to have as a sign of spring.
October 4th, 2016
@taffy The yellow colour is more bright than any other spring flower - blossom - just pink, rhododendrons, just pale purple etc etc!

as we move into fall i can enjoy your spring.
October 4th, 2016
You are certainly fortunate to have these in your garden. Not sure why the camera has focused on the green foliage rather than the flowers themselves?
October 4th, 2016
Wonderful colours.
October 4th, 2016

@gooner46 I'm having trouble with the camera focusing, Chris! It may be that the battery is getting low!
October 4th, 2016
Lovely shot and colour, a specially welcome sight as we are now in winter

@sdutoit Thank you Sylvia! Nice of you to fav!
October 4th, 2016
Nine beautiful blooms, wonderful flowers with excellent dark background.
October 4th, 2016
@maggiemae The books say to use Live View when close up. Haven't done that myself but might be something else to check. Are you able to tell the camera the point of focus? I don't know which camera you are using. Good luck!
October 5th, 2016
@gooner46 Yes I can select, wide, centre and flexible but what I've just found while answering your comment that on certain automatically set functions, the focus goes to wide! So a new learning. Better to keep to manual.

You definitely make me laugh. Such a pretty photo. I love it on black on my mac. Sounds like you are enjoying your caravan and fixing what needs to be fixed. Yes, as we get older sleepless nights happen. We make up for them by sleeping in the morning a bit. FAV
October 5th, 2016
What lovely colors and processing Maggiemae! This is lovely. I'm sorry you have sleepless nights! :( That will be me tonight... :)
October 7th, 2016
@kerosene its not every night, Caroline but just sometimes. I think we are all the same - women's brains go round too fast at night!
