Buick by maggiemae

Buick

I had a photo of some ghastly aphids - will go on my other album but saw this vehicle down town and said to my driver, “Follow that car” He accelerated , swept round various corners, crossed a major road, halted, turned around and there it was! A 1928/29 Buick! Belongs to a guy in Oamaru!

The photo was taken in a street with other cars, houses, power lines so I experimented….. This result pleased me.

Three good things;

1. “A Photo a day keeps the heart at play!” This message was on my iPhone!
2. Did a packet of serious Thai curry with some major tasteless chicken balls and it worked.
3. Walked through a cemetery and said “hello’ to several relatives! I did, I really did!
What a good looking car and edit. Well done, Maggiemae!

It looks like your super car is flying through the air Maggie, a bit like that car in the film Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines!

@happypat Its just the angle I shot it with then removing the street changed the feeling of being on the level!

So did you cut this out? Brilliant job made of it.

@gooner46 Sort of, Chris - started with a blank page lightly coloured then used my photo of the car to layer on to that. Then it was a matter of 'rubbing' out the stuff you don't want!

@jaffacakes With your suggestion, I've put it on public FB and hope that he sees it, Julie!

Oh, nice job with the spotting and the editing... I find it tricky, to get rid of the excess "stuff." A delightful shot.

did the relatives say hello back to you? and what would you have done if they did? :) very fine car, awesome edit. i did that when i was new here on 365, we followed a car from one town to the other, just tailed him and the driver tried to go around other towns or tried to lose us in the highway. turned out he lives just around the next neighbourhood. then i took pics like there was no tomorrow. you got to have a real good driver to be able to do what you did (and what we did). bill isn't up for something like that. he loves his car too much.
