One of the entertainment we have is watching other campers set up or around 4pm come in in their dozens! We probably are the entertainment for others too!
Sometimes we have fruit and muesli for breakfast and sometimes we have hot porridge! Depends on the temperature!
This day we explored the neighbouring territory which did have some rough and muddy tracks but we ended up at the Camp again and here was this little rowboat looking rather sad.
Three good things;
1. Plenty of power but no cell coverage to make any calls necessary.
2. The sound of the waves carried us through the night.
3. I made date scones in my little oven - OK but the texture was more like cake than scones!
Love the vibrant colours in this shot. The method of communication between guide and driver is often a source of wonder as well as suppressed mirth. 8-) Fav
Such a wonderful subject and process so beautifully with all that vibrant colors. Both of your breakfasts sound delicious and your number three sounds remarkable
@happypat I don't think we will get back home for some time, Pat! Life with your luxury snail pad on your back is so good. We meet different people, see wonderful scenery and take tons of photographs!
Sounds like a fun trip around the South Island. Camping grounds are a great source of entertainment as people set up. We once watched a group unload their tent for the weekend, only to find they had left the poles behind, necessitating a rather long drive back home to retrieve them.
And I once put in a long tent peg to secure the tent in high winds and rain. the next morning it all seemed extra wet in one corner - further investigation found that I had driven the peg right through an alkethene? water pipe!
