Onward to another road trip! This time, northwards to the city of Christchurch but before that - the French area of Akaroa on Banks Peninsula. We travelled in late afternoon for 2.& 1/2 hours to a tiny village out towards the east where there was a POP place that was the local hotel. POP means ‘Park Over Property” No charge unless its warranted and it is generally privately owned. However the back of the hotel had too many cars there (a Monday night!!) so we were recommended by the pub owner to go down to the ‘Rugby Field’ Tihis proved to be a wonderful area with a mown field and grass surrounds, lots of tall trees and NOONE there! We parked there all on our own and this is the caravan still tied up to the car.
Three Good Things;
1 On the road again……. Big Smiles!
2. The fridge was full - fresh corn, chicken tenders mashed potato and broccoli for tea.
3. The weather might improve!
How wonderful that you are enjoying another trip! It sounds like you ended up with a good spot for the night ...Nice pic to show off this beautiful scene!
