Our day began with various people walking their dogs on a wet rugby field. A lovely cottage stood at the side of the road and I photographed it….. not sure if its worth. But then we drove through flat fields alongside an Lake which has just been recognised as one of the most polluted lakes in NZ. No eels - ah woe is me!
Three good things:
1. Chose a caravan park high up in the hills overlooking the harbour at Akaroa. I kept taking photos and was not pleased. This one is perhaps the best….
2. Cheese and wine are one of the products of the area but we found that French people and German people are the latest product!
3. I got so hot and bothered going down to the Harbour - probably about 200 meters. Going down meant quavering knees….. going back up meant quavering heart! I survived.
