Spyglass

Ottawa on a canal trip. We cruised up beside beautiful homes, parks, cycleways, looking at the scenery from in front and behind. Our guide mentioned the war of 1812!
Three good things;
1 Grandchild was fascinated and shrieked when she saw a duck - luckily there weren’t many!
2. I thought this shot with two people in front (one was hubby on the left ) became part of a natural frame
3. My camera battery was exhausted after just one day…… the GPS has to work out where I am and I do get to so many places!
A wonderful composition beautifully framed. How fun to be with someone who is so excited by a duck!

This is a wonderful shot. I love the canal framing and your husband in front. I have 3 batteries for each of my cameras!

@peterday There was a very low bridge and the boat scraped through with about 3 inches to spare, Peter!

Beautifully composed shot & the frame of the bridge & ironwork & the view beyond is lovely! Nothing more restful than a canal ride but you would have to keep hold of the little one!

I like how the bridge and buildings in the distance are framed!
It looks like the Fairmont Chateau Laurier on the Rideau Canal.

You certainly get around, Marg. The furthest away I've been this year is Te Mahia in the Marlborough sounds.

My first thought was that you had framed this in an interesting and creative way.
