In Salt Lake City, of course one has to visit the Tabernacle. We found everyone most friendly and willing to help. Buildings were immaculate in cleanliness and the statues etc gave the impression of great and happy family life.
Managed to get to an organ recital by a lady who sat away down there at her organ and the enormous organ pipes took up most of the surrounding wall!
Maybe good on the Black or maybe you will be totally in the dark!
Three good things:
1. Most friendly staff here - one young guy gave John a small bottle of malt scotch! I think he wanted to chat to him but he was given the opportunity to go further north for the eclipse so he disappeared.
2. Decided clothing etc was just too expensive!
3. Looking at a mirrorless camera that maybe just what I want!
She looks dwarfed by her surrounding's. Mirrorless cameras are getting better and better. They are something I have looked into although hopefully I won't need a replacement camera for a while.
it is a great venue and if you go to a recital there the acoustics are amazing. We have always found the people friendly to us non-Mormons (We are in SLC once a year to use the Genealogical Library)
