Got this photo at 4.52 pm when the sun officially sank down behind this endless range of mountains. The day was spent in the hotel watching the activities of tourists and workers. We need this space for rest.
Three good things:
1. Once more the tourists take the last gondola downwards at 4.30 and we are left - only two couples in the whole hotel! Its weird.
2. A guy with lots of clips for hanging off rocks jangled past now and then. Our tv is now going - he must have fixed the fallen transmitter!
3. John went out on to a cold and icy terrace and yodelled!
One needs the time and space to recharge the batteries from time to time -- what a wonderful place to do this ! Did John's yodelling echo through the mountains !!
Another bow to John's Arriw, what can that man not do! I should think the only option half way up that mountain is to stay warm & rest! You need that break sometimes! A fire & a good book plus a drink in the other hand! Bliss!
Would have loved to hear John yodeling! I haven't been following you to know if you were in the alps or not. I heard something about bad weather there and terrible conditions. I didn't know I needed to be worrying about you.
