Still travelling around the top of the South Island in NZ and have entered into the autumn colours suddenly. Reds, golds and yellow like this one. The mist was swirling around the mountain tops all the time!
Three Good Things:
1. I went across the campground to the showers and stepping out of the shower, I realised I had not brought my towel! Only option was to put my clothes on a very dripping body!
2. Putting the central heating on in our motorhome -cosy and warm.
3. A big plate of mussels done in different ways!
Oh dear how uncomfortable that would be! You won't do that again! Thus is a very well placed tree, srptunning colour, you are making me look forward to seeing these colours soon, will be a change from hot & sun!
I have just read this morning that Qtown has had the best Autumn colour for years.. I was too early for it when I was down there .. This tree is stunning .. Whoops re towel .. You are in the best part of the country to get those Mussels..
Ooh dear Maggie !! - shower and no towel ! - not the nicest of feel I am sure !! but I had to smile !! Stunning image - great composition ,and that yellow tree really pops against the dark green and misty backdrop - fav
Ooooh I am back in Lord of the Rings territory with this one, the Misty Mountains and lilting music. The yellow of that tree is just wonderful against the misty darker background.
PS I have done that camping too!!
But if you have longer to listen, then it would be Vaughan Williams amazing The Lark Ascending. Always associated with English pastoral scenes, but to me it has the ebb and flow of mist and birds of prey in the mountains. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mHgucSz1hs
@casablanca thanks for all these triggers Ms C! I know and love ‘ the lark ascending’. Got to listen to it again! Don’t know the Hobbit other than it’s famous! J
it looks like the morning in the Carpathians and if I did not know you are on the other side of the world, I would think that you are in the Carpathians!
