This is trying to get good bokeh which I always admire in other photos.
I knew this would work with a closeup of my Airman and the Christmas Lights behind which we have not put away for two years!
The difficulty was that the lights were beside a door with windows and it was too light!
Might possibly look good on Black too.
Three Good Things:
1. With a bit of effort, I got this far…
2. Wondering what the next photo is going to be - its inside - raining and cold.
3. Watched an exciting movie on our new TV - an old one from the ’60’s, “A Twist of Sand”” The Skeleton Coast.
looks superb on black and you are a girl after my own heart with those Christmas lights! I feel confident you will find something of interest to photograph tomorrow. You always do
Oh isn't he fun! And this works very well. I am laughing about the Christmas lights too :) I keep mine out until Candlemas, which is 2nd February - I keep my tree up til then too! But then they go away. I like your idea!
Look at it this way...you are early for Christmas instead of being late with the decorating. Christmas lights look nice year round, especially if you use white lights. I like to use white lights because it doesn't snow at our house and they look great in the summer too. If I have bokeh in a photo, it is because it happens naturally in the blurred background. I have never had any luck or control when trying to add it myself! Good luck...keep trying and let me know what you discover! :)
@maggiemae They are Christmas lights, just like the gingerbread house colored lights but only white or clear lights. I posted photos on December 18 and 26, showing my white twinkling Christmas lights. :)
