What do you do when it is so windy! I resorted to my newest indoor plant, a maidenhair fern. I had spent most of the afternoon finding about what all the buttons and options were on my camera by reading the online manual.
The focus and aperture was my challenge here.
Three good things:
1. My camera did different things every time I shifted one of so many tiny switches sideways! Got the aperture thing sorted .
2. Our lawns got mown today - took the contractors 20 mins and when I did it - 2 hours!
3. Played the piano keyboard so much today - some lovely old songs…. ‘when the sun says goodnight to the mountain…. and the gold of the day meets the blue…!’
You are learning all the time about your camera! Maidenhair ferns are beautiful & the Fern shapes look pretty here. Sounds like you had a great day. Wish I could play an instrument!
Love the feathery look of the maidenhair fern and your clever use of the many shades of grey . You have has a fruitful day in finding the workings of your camera - something I should do with my little "handbag camera "- sometimes I will have touched something and then in a quandary in getting the junction to my usual ! But such a relaxing afternoon on your piano - a lovely pastime
A beautiful shot of this lovely fern, mine have never survived so I started with Orchids. I started playing piano as a child (my mother played the Organ at our church) but unfortunate lost interest Now I wish I could still play ;-)
@ludwigsdiana I was exactly the same as a child - our teacher chose the most awful of musical pieces to learn. If only - some of the present day (then) in the '60s! But she was old!
@golftragic Ha - originally googled RTFN (mistake) and got, "read the freakin news" Now I know you wouldn't say that to me so changed the N to a M........mmm a usual saying - one my husband uses often!
@maggiemae In the Physics lab at my school there was a large sign chalked up at the top of the blackboard. 'When all else fails, read the instructions'.
I hate reading online manuals...
