The Ceanothus is humming with bees so I didn’t have to wait long for this to happen. Bees seem to like blue flowers! The flowers have a pink colour before coming blue.
Three Good Things:
1. Another hot day - had to change my clothes.
2. John fixed his 1956 velocette motorbike- the throttle jammed on a recent demonstration trip.
3. Made my own toasted muesli - lots of nuts, rolled oats, seeds - Pumpkin and others, dried cranberries and dried apricots plus coconut. Toasted in the oven with NZ olive oil and NZ honey! Delicious with a banana and creamy yoghurt!
Great catch- there's something fascinating about bees in flight. I'm not sure what it is but when you capture it, you can look at the picture for hours. Love the colors on your plant- and apparently so do the bees! Yum Yum on #3! Bravo John on #2.
@olivetreeann With all the weight on their legs -the bees, not the observers... its amazing they have the strength to fly back to the hive. We have looked at this - do they have a GPS or is it "follow the leader"!
