I bought this globe somewhere in the world on our travels and it had the world etched on it …but it forgot NZ so I forgot it.
However in the sun it looked rather nice.
In the background you see the leaning back of John, pulling out all the weeds in our veggie plot. Actually they were poppy plants but last year grew in such multitude, nothing else had a chance!
Three good things:
1. Had several official spam support sites contact me with lots of good news - no problems.. just don’t click on any web address. Myspace and Linkedln were the culprits where millions of private stuff was hacked in 2011 to 2012.
2. The experts came into the kitchen and ripped out the sodden cupboard, put in a brand new one and reconnected the water and power!
3. Were woken at 2am by the phone! It was some internet site in Norway that John had enquired from. They didn’t seem to get the fact that we were sound asleep and kept talking. John finally lied about his age and said he needed his sleep!
Cute shot, like an enchanted forest. I have a trueCall machine that screens my calls and stops idiots calling me at crazy o’clock or any other time indeed! Best thing I ever bought.
@maggiemae You can pay a nominal fee to keep a check online and choose numbers to “zap” or “star.” It is very versatile and has a good choice of settings as to how to manage certain kinds of number. All numbers are listed on there. Star callers get straight through, zap callers never get connected and other numbers are screened. They can speak their name, then it calls you and you choose to accept the call or not. It is an answerphone when you are out too. I love it! Like having my own secretary!
I think I would not have paid them if they had left my country off of it! In spite of that it gave you a beautiful shot for the day. I quite like having John in the background show up so nicely. Like the others I enjoyed you three good things today
How very short sighted of the mid night caller, I doubt I would trust them to run a tightbship if they couldn't get the timings right! Love the light on John's hard working back! We get lots of unwanted callers, usually a foreign accent who annoynthe hell out of me by asking how I am...I bang the phone down every time! I can't screen my calls as the b&bs would have a problem getting through. We are used to it now & to be honest you can practically now when they call as it's always at certain times. There is a gap when you pick the phone up & im always thinking it could be family from NZ so always wait until I hear a voice.
@happypat You are quite right - they do ask how you are - and they have your name! John told the one yesterday that he was an elephant with a blue trunk!
