I have only to post my 28th Oct photo when I get my computer back.
Robina, our sweet Irish wood nymph was puzzled about Halloween. She knows about ghosts but not pumpkins which really are only food! She has her eye on a really handsome prince and said, “I'll be your trick if you'll be my treat!
Three good things:
1. Got my hair cut - getting too long at the back. I went to a salon where you sit waiting until its your turn. No shampoo etc but only $20. A good haircut.
2. While I was there, the hairdresser who had an appt with a doctor put a notice on the window, ‘away to lunch, back 2pm” There were about 6 people who opened the door and complained loudly about the situation! Our overworked hairdresser disappeared out the back and came back with tears - - a little old white haired lady who had just had a brilliant haircut, got up and gave her a hug!
3. Hubby is under the weather - I threatened him saying every time he coughed, I would give him a Vitamin C tablet! He is trying.
Your hairdressers don't have appointment books? Our hairdressers would be very unhappy to not cut while the hair was wet, spraying all over the place, its pleasenter to have it washed first! Love how you've conjured up this fantastic Halloween photo, very inventive! Hope John I soon better! Harry is coughing at the moment too.
@happypat This is only one hairdresser, Pat - you just wait your turn on a bench and paying this amount is 1/3 of the price at a real hairdressing salon!
@maggiemae Well it will be but what happens if you want a long appointment such as a colour or perm? All the ones waiting would be grumbling! I'm amazed there is only one hairdresser, an opening there for sure I reckon!
I’ve had two disastrous haircuts in salons who do walk ins, I’m afraid to try them again. I love your cute nymph in the pumpkin! Great editing on your part.
Some people have no manners, thank goodness for the DOL who hugged the poor harrassed hairdresser. I have my haircut by a fully qualified hairdress who has a (legal) salon in a hut in her back-yard and only charges me $22 a cut ($2 to have my hair washed). High Street salons want double or more that for what is just a haircut, nothing special. Rogues.
@golftragic This one I went to is qualified too but she has a small room down a side street and would have to pay rent and rates plus insurance of course!
@maggiemae No way would we let her go!! I never need more than a haircut and had long felt my 15min job was subsiding those women sitting under dryers with 'stuff' in their hair.
What a cutie nymph she is - this is a fun image. Your hairdresser deserves a lunch break like everyone else! Silly people complaining! Get well soon to your hubby.
@casablanca She had a Dr's appt and just had to shut the door! Its her hours and I feel if people don't want to wait for a hair cut, they can go to another hairdresser and pay twice as much! I get very irritated.
Is it possible to have a happy halloween? I thought he idea was to scare the s**t out of everyone? Mind you, it had no part in the culture I grew up in, so what do I know?!
