I designed this for our kitchen - a deep open nook to put special items in and with an internal light. Particularly like the way the little teapot cottage and my china coddling pots were lit up.
Really good on the black!
Three good things;
1. Book club again - some interesting thoughts
2. Power went off today for several hours and we couldn't raise the garage door to get the car out! Eventually managed with the override.
3. No power over lunch - put a pot of soup on the motorhome gas hob to heat!
I did that with some built-in book shelves in the living room. I added under-the-shelf lighting and display my Swarovski crystal. Only way I wish I could improve it even more is to have glass doors to keep the dust out. As it is, I have to periodically clean the fragile glass.
Such a lovely creation Maggie - so wonderful to have all these little Kitchen pieces lit up - Love your cottage and of course all the coddling pots - I have inherited one - but never use it !
Your special treasures look wonderful in this lovely setting. Lights are so very important in the house & your idea really enhances these beautiful coddling pots to perfection.
@beryl You just have to try it Beryl! It makes the eggs so beautifully creamy and the flavours of whatever else you put in it -bacon, mushroom, tomato, cheese, are so vibrant!
Resourceful cooking without power
