No photos during the day as was driving across Auckland most of the time. With one elderly SIL in one suburb and the other in another, it took over an hour to get to each. Thats in light traffic. Would take 2 hours in peak traffic.
To be Thankful for;
Each SIL was so pleased to see us and each made up some excuse for us to stay longer but we had to think of that peak traffic.
This was taken from our hotel window looking west.
Having trouble with internet connections so not able to stay online for very long.
I remember driving in Auckland the one day we were there on our way home from living in Australia and decided to do a 10 day whizz around NZ. Traffic was awful! We didn't get to the north of the North Island, which we would love to sometime, but spent most time on the South Island, which we adored. Glad your company was appreciated after all your efforts.
@casablanca The North is beautiful with a different culture and wonderful beaches. In the South, beaches are always beautiful but not frequented because of the climate.
@happysnaps And it is good that they will remember - one might be completely disabled from a stroke but her mind is active. Can't talk, though. The other talks to make up for it!
