I hobbled out here as the wisteria must really be at it's best! It is a rascal as when it starts to put out tendrils, they go into the roof, downpipes, across the ground to the right!
Thankful for:
My leg was so sore when I stood up that I had to remain in my chair most of the day when the pain diminished to nothing! John endeavoured to cook rice, mash potatoes, steam peas and honestly did well. (with a bit of vocal help!)
What a beautiful colourful garden you have. I thought you were supposed to be staying off your leg? Well done to John for cooking and clearly you are giving good instructions. Great teamwork!
@julzmaioro Thanks Julia - its just as nice on the other side of the front door but 3 of the rhodes there have finished flowering and now on that side just another rhododendron and a lovely purple rose to come!
@maggiemae Wellthats ok then. I have no excuses for my lack of phojo except today we spent all day at the hospital eye clinic getting our cataracts assessed for surgery. HE is legally blind but apparently my eyesight has improved over the last month and I don't need surgery at all. I have 20/20 vision it seems?? We had to stay in town for over 4 hours until our dilated eyes recovered enough to drive home! Isn't aging such fun?
I would escape now and then too!! Sounds like your man has the cooking sorted! Lovely shot of the wisteria and garden. Colours remind me of a 1950s postcard.
Ooh Maggie , you have a beautiful and well kept shrub garden - a picture of spring time - all fresh and beautiful ! Well worth the hobble to the outside to share with us this lovely scene . I hope you are taking care of the leg and it sounds as if John is a gem - nice to have your meals cooked for you - even if you have to give instructions .
You have a beautiful garden. I can understand that you need to escape, but you must take it easy and be patient.
It is good that John managed to cook dinner. David, if left to his own devices would set fire to the house while cooking, but luckily he works well under instruction too.
What a lovely welcome to your house with all those beautiful flowers. Take care and rest the leg. Hubby is better than me in the kitchen for sure. The only thing i can do there is a cup of instant coffee.
Your garden is beautiful! Well, surely they know you have to move around a little bit! I would think walking would help the skin stay flexible, but what do I know!
@kiwinanna Oh dear - for him! Oh, good for you! I have glaucoma and have to put drops in my eyes every night forever - then its pills for this, pills for that! Sigh!
@louannwarren The instructions weren't detailed, Lou Ann other than leg up on sitting and no exercise for a month. Walking isn't too painful but standing in one place is.
Wow, wotta wonderful garden, so much to see in those beds. Love that wisteria too. Good to hear that you're up and around a little bit, and that John is keeping you both fed.
@maggiemae Having had numerous lower-limb surgeries I have a fair idea of what you're dealing with. Hang in there, it'll all be worth it in the end. In the meantime, keep training John in the culinary arts. Might come in handy sometime?
@grammyn Gosh - just catching up with your injuries! That must have been horrific and so difficult to live with! Its also great to see how 365 friends have helped!
It is good that John managed to cook dinner. David, if left to his own devices would set fire to the house while cooking, but luckily he works well under instruction too.
Do take it easy, its better that way for a faster recovery.

I didn't realise wisteria had these wandering characteristics 😊
