The Wisteria by maggiemae

The Wisteria

I hobbled out here as the wisteria must really be at it's best! It is a rascal as when it starts to put out tendrils, they go into the roof, downpipes, across the ground to the right!
Thankful for:
My leg was so sore when I stood up that I had to remain in my chair most of the day when the pain diminished to nothing! John endeavoured to cook rice, mash potatoes, steam peas and honestly did well. (with a bit of vocal help!)
What a beautiful colourful garden you have. I thought you were supposed to be staying off your leg? Well done to John for cooking and clearly you are giving good instructions. Great teamwork!

@kiwinanna I am supposed to put my leg up every time I sit down but can walk but not exercise. I escape every now and then with no ill effects!
October 25th, 2019
Wow that is a lovely colourful corner .. beautiful..
October 25th, 2019
@julzmaioro Thanks Julia - its just as nice on the other side of the front door but 3 of the rhodes there have finished flowering and now on that side just another rhododendron and a lovely purple rose to come!

@maggiemae Wellthats ok then. I have no excuses for my lack of phojo except today we spent all day at the hospital eye clinic getting our cataracts assessed for surgery. HE is legally blind but apparently my eyesight has improved over the last month and I don't need surgery at all. I have 20/20 vision it seems?? We had to stay in town for over 4 hours until our dilated eyes recovered enough to drive home! Isn't aging such fun?

I would escape now and then too!! Sounds like your man has the cooking sorted! Lovely shot of the wisteria and garden. Colours remind me of a 1950s postcard.
October 25th, 2019
Such a beautiful garden! No wonder you escape every now and then to see it! Best medicine! So pleased you are being fed well! Lol!
October 25th, 2019
Such a beautiful garden. I would want to escape to it regularly.
October 25th, 2019
Ooh Maggie , you have a beautiful and well kept shrub garden - a picture of spring time - all fresh and beautiful ! Well worth the hobble to the outside to share with us this lovely scene . I hope you are taking care of the leg and it sounds as if John is a gem - nice to have your meals cooked for you - even if you have to give instructions .
October 25th, 2019
This is such a lovely view of your colourful garden. Your leg pain sounds pretty awful - rest up and enjoy having John cook your meals!
October 25th, 2019
You have a beautiful garden. I can understand that you need to escape, but you must take it easy and be patient.

It is good that John managed to cook dinner. David, if left to his own devices would set fire to the house while cooking, but luckily he works well under instruction too.
October 25th, 2019
What a lovely welcome to your house with all those beautiful flowers. Take care and rest the leg. Hubby is better than me in the kitchen for sure. The only thing i can do there is a cup of instant coffee.
October 25th, 2019
Your garden is beautiful! Well, surely they know you have to move around a little bit! I would think walking would help the skin stay flexible, but what do I know!
October 25th, 2019
Beautiful shot of your lovely well balanced and colourful garden. I can understand why you hobbled out ;-)
October 25th, 2019
So beautiful!!!!!
October 25th, 2019
What a wonderful array of colors in your garden...I hope your leg gets better soon.
October 25th, 2019

Bep
What a lovely shot of your garden, Maggie.
October 25th, 2019
What a beautiful garden..full of colour.
October 25th, 2019
Sorry to hear about your leg. Believe me I know how it feels. Beautiful flowers.
October 25th, 2019
@kiwinanna Oh dear - for him! Oh, good for you! I have glaucoma and have to put drops in my eyes every night forever - then its pills for this, pills for that! Sigh!
October 25th, 2019
@beryl Its a first allowing him into the kitchen, Beryl but a necessity!
October 25th, 2019
@louannwarren The instructions weren't detailed, Lou Ann other than leg up on sitting and no exercise for a month. Walking isn't too painful but standing in one place is.
October 25th, 2019
@sdutoit The awful thing is, Sylvia that I voluntarily walked into that theatre whole and moving and came out crippled! It really sucks!
October 25th, 2019
@onewing Now John knows how to work the oven - even if he put the timer on to 240 hours! And couldn't work out why it wouldn't go further!
October 25th, 2019
@sangwann That was about John's best too -coffee. Now he can get breakfast, heat things up and cook vegetables.
October 25th, 2019
Beautiful colourful garden - i love wisteria :)
October 25th, 2019

October 26th, 2019
Very pretty gardens.............wishing you a speedy recovery!
October 26th, 2019
Your flowers look heavenly, so beautiful. fav.
Do take it easy, its better that way for a faster recovery.
October 26th, 2019
@grammyn Its really difficult to do nothing, Katy. TV takes my mind of things pretty well though!
October 26th, 2019
@maggiemae I remember well Maggiemae, after my car wreck and all I could do was sit for months!
October 26th, 2019
@grammyn Oh golly Katy! I didn't know that happened!
October 26th, 2019
Wow, wotta wonderful garden, so much to see in those beds. Love that wisteria too. Good to hear that you're up and around a little bit, and that John is keeping you both fed.
October 26th, 2019
@golftragic Thanks for your thoughtful comments, Marnie!
October 26th, 2019
@maggiemae Having had numerous lower-limb surgeries I have a fair idea of what you're dealing with. Hang in there, it'll all be worth it in the end. In the meantime, keep training John in the culinary arts. Might come in handy sometime?
October 26th, 2019
@kiwinanna I had my cataracts removed last November. I am so glad. Beautiful garden.
October 26th, 2019
Such beautiful colours in your garden.
October 26th, 2019
@golftragic Need to know other people's trials etc -makes me feel optimistic. John is now the Master of Mashed Potato!
October 26th, 2019
What a beautiful home and garden...so neat and tidy and well kept! Keep the chef busy and you stay off your feet and get well soon! :)
October 26th, 2019
@gardenfolk I am learning, Ms CC - I can now tell the doctor a thing or two!
October 26th, 2019
oh dear, I am so sorry to read about your pain. You maintain a lovely garden display, never the less.
October 26th, 2019
@maggiemae It was six years ago Maggiemae and I was in a halo cast for three months http://365project.org/grammyn/365/2014-03-13 http://365project.org/grammyn/365/2014-01-05 and sat for almost two months except for going to the doctor. I know how boring it gets to do NOTHING all day long!
October 26th, 2019
@grammyn Gosh - just catching up with your injuries! That must have been horrific and so difficult to live with! Its also great to see how 365 friends have helped!
October 26th, 2019
@maggiemae They sure made a big impact on my recovery! Everyone was so nice.........and they still are!
October 26th, 2019
@grammyn That's because you are such a nice person, Katy!
October 26th, 2019
@maggiemae Awww Thanks It takes one to know one MM!
October 26th, 2019
@maggiemae I know exactly what you mean!!! John should get an elephant stamp, but needs more for the the gold star as well.
October 27th, 2019
@golftragic I think If I gave him that stamp, he might ring 911! I'm just glad that he really has to figure it all out!
October 27th, 2019
So dreamy place and lovely shot.
October 27th, 2019
wow! This is what a house in heaven must look like!
Fav
October 27th, 2019

I didn't realise wisteria had these wandering characteristics 😊
