A free rhododendron by maggiemae

A free rhododendron

A branch got broken off one of our rhododendrons and fell on the ground. John picked it up and put it into a vase which I thought was not worth the effort. This is that branch 6 days later!
The inset is the original taken on the 22nd Oct. The flower must have a lot of food stored from within…!
Thankful for:
Some good friends on 365 that make me smile and unearth my sense of humour!
That's so beautiful! Gorgeous colour and very creatively presented. Nature can take us by surprise .
PS have just received a lovely photo of spring/summer flowers at hobbit land! She's had a wonderful holiday with her husband...heading home to Scotland on Wednesday .

I wonder if it would root after flowering too maggie....might be worth keeping it in water to see if it roots. Looks like it’s a survivor! Lovely fat buds they have!
