Beginning of Winter: by maggiemae

Beginning of Winter:

..and the first bulbs appear - I presume they are jonquils. But the scent followed me around - on the coffee table, on the dinner table.!
Thankful for;
Plenty of time to sleep in having had a disrupted night - toilet visits 4 times! I'm OK just what happens sometimes!
I can be a nocturnal wanderer like that too.......once I have half woken up, I start thinking about it and then I have to go!
What pretty flowers. I do love the strong scent of Spring you get from them.

@casablanca Too true! Thinking in the middle of the night is not good.

Graceful lines and lovely soft focus! Glad you are okay. You take care of yourself now.

Jonquils do have a stunning scent but it’s a strange time for them to flower at the beginning of winter...they are a Spring flower over here. I have had nights like that but once I’m up I stay up for a bit....not a good habit! As long as you’re ok today!

These are lovely. Sometimes the dogs get me up in the night and by the time they've come back in, I'm fully awake. Then I might as well get up, sleep is impossible.

I love this colorful image.

@happypat All back to normal today as usual, Pat. Sometimes I think I'll shift the bed into the bathroom!

@fbailey I don't think I could cope with dogs going out! However the alternative is much worse!
May 19th, 2020
Wow, ours haven't shown their faces yet.

One's plumbing can be tricky at times.

nice soft pastels, we all are getting older

@golftragic Maybe a new washer is what is needed!
May 19th, 2020
@marlboromaam I spend most of the day, Maggie - taking care of me and him!

I can just imagine the scent of these jonquils. Heavenly!
May 19th, 2020
@maggiemae Now there's a great idea.
May 19th, 2020
@fbailey Try a doggie door FB, does wonders for a good night's sleep.
May 19th, 2020
@golftragic @fbailey If you have a good fenced backyard, that's a good idea but.... dogs, I have known depend on their owners for every little whim -- barking does wonders!
May 19th, 2020
@jamibann It only lasted a few hours, Issi - but well worth picking them and putting them inside!
May 19th, 2020
@grammyn I do know that if you wake up in the night, start thinking then the blood starts to stream to the brain! Now you are stuck in reality!
May 19th, 2020
@golftragic Oh I wish I could! Sadly the back doors are sliding glass ones and my little elderly girl has dementia. There's a pond in the garden and if she fell in and I wasn't there ... she only wanted to go out twice last night and she waited till I was nearly asleep each time, not completely out for the count!
May 19th, 2020
@maggiemae Barking certainly does work wonders! Am wearing a t-shirt today saying 'My dogs walk all over me' - how apt is that!
May 19th, 2020
@fbailey The love you have for her carries you on!

@maggiemae LOL! Exactly!
