The Victorian Festival always has these races and often it is the same guys who compete. This year there were more ladies, all dressed appropriately for riding a bike. We looked forward to this as there was an old hotel that had been shut for over a year and now taken over by new proprietors. It was owned by a Trust but they took it over. There was a space on a table right by the open window on to this street where the races took part. Cider and white wine later, we had made new friends.
