If you look carefully slightly left of the centre on top of the bare hill, there is a house! Heaven knows how they get there, it certainly wasn't from the bottom of the hill.
Thankful for: having the time to stop on the side of the road and take some good photos.
What a view they must have! Seeing that wilding pine there makes me want to pull it out... our son is working in Arthur's Pass on removing wilding pines - a huge and never-ending job.
One thing is for sure.......they have to go up sometime! Either to leave or return! Good eye to spot it. A picture from their window would be amazing wouldn't it?
