Yesterday I posted the fire brick. Here we have the package of firebricks on the right but underneath the fire are thick logs from the grapevine that we sawed off. It was heaps old and the grapes were sour!

After 12 days of meals taken out, I do appreciate the simple pleasure of hot buttered toast!
Which lasts the longest in the fire....I’m guessing the wood but could be wrong. We are always ready to light the fire & enjoy it’s warmth when the days & nights get colder. The best part of the winter season.
