Interview from New York by maggiemae

Interview from New York

John is being interviewed by a sports reporter from a Cable TV channel in New York. The interview lasted 1 and 1/2 hours and I listened. Naturally, it was about the film, World's Fastest Indian and his father, Burt Munro.
Pleased about:
John certainly has no memory problems!

How fascinating to be able to see the other side of that interview and to “know” the celebrity as we do. This is a fabulous photo that tells that story.

You must be very proud that John is still so sharp about all his memories about his dad. It certainly is a bonus for all concerned with The Indian Motorbike.

I did check out the movie and realized I’ve watched it.

@maggiemae I will make a point of watching the film, now that I know what it's all about. Your father-in-law was obviously quite a man. What a wonderful legacy he has left behind for others to enjoy and read about. Your hubby must be so proud of his dad. Funnily enough, I'm typing out my dad's diaries from his 6-month trip to the US in 1967 and by coincidence, he talks of driving from Nevada to Wendover in Utah, passing alongside the Bonneville Salt Flats. In a regular car, on the freeway, I hasten to add. Heading to some mountain or another!

@jamibann That's interesting - I was in the States and the Caribbean by myself for 6 months travelling around in 1966. And wrote a diary!
