John is planting main potatoes - red - red rascal, they are called. You can see there are great flourishing potatoes elsewhere. The main ones are early Jersey Benne, first planted early September. 80 days maturity. These Red potatoes - a red skin and white flesh 90 days.
@happypat There's a lemon tree over there in the corner, Pat which John has been feeding and watering and now its choc-a-block with flowers and tiny fruit!
My husband grew up in Maine! He will be happy to hear their potatoes have made it all the way to New Zealand
