Before the rains set in..

My meagre little bit of porridge put out on the bird table always attracted them. Haven't seen these little wax-eyes often though. The hierarchy of the bird species shows here. Poor wee common sparrow has to wait his turn and by the time the wax-eyes are finished there is none left!
Thankful for;
No leaks in the roof - flooding everywhere though!
We feed our chooks with left over porridge - they love it!

Sparrows dominate our hanging feeders. I love seeing them. He starlings swarm the birdtable. The magpies are bullies (but I love them) and surprisingly nervous when in the garden. An noisy, the magpies make no bones about letting you know they aren’t happy.
